While they were an item for quite the long stretch, Dannii Minogue and rugby player Kris Smith have ended their relationship after four years of togetherness.
After having denied rumors of a split last year, reports of troubled waters emerged again on Tuesday (April 3) - with the now former couple, who share a toddler son named Ethan, confirming the sad news to be true.
Taking to Twitter while revealing her new single status, Miss Minogue wrote, "It brings me great sadness to tell you that Kris & I have separated. We still care for each other & ask for privacy at this difficult time, in particular for our son Ethan who remains our number one priority. Needing to retreat for a while. Thank you for your ever loving continued support."
Meanwhile, Smith also posted a comment on the matter, as he messaged, "Dannii and I have a deep mutual love and respect for each other and although things have not worked out we have a gorgeous son together that we both love and implore everyone to respect our privacy at this challenging time."
The couple began dating in the summer of 2008 after meeting at Smith's 30th birthday party in Ibiza, while having welcomed their son in 2010.
