BANGKOK, Sept 18 — Concern is mounting in Bangkok over a major rally planned tomorrow by the red-shirted United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) — but the movement’s leaders yesterday promised it will be a peaceful gathering.
The rally is being staged to remind the public of the military coup that ousted then-prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra on Sept 19, 2006.
