What is Wholesale Blogging ?

If blogging is retailing - promoting/selling your articles to unknown readers world-wide; then managing your feeds through eg FeedBurner is like controlling whom to sell to and who can grant access to these infos - blogs; and this distribution process is similar to wholesaling.

For a business to be viable, it was advisable to conduct it with 80% wholesale and 20% retail. Wholesale provide sales volume with retailing putting up the real margins. Together they form a perfect combination whereby one could not survive healthily without the other.

A good writer could post many useful articles but it would take time to promote these content via the internet; whereas someone with reasonably knowledge of feeds 'burning' could add the icing on the cake by promoting these feeds internet-wide; one complementing the other!

I could still recall about one and a half year ago when i first encountered the word feeds through John Chow and i had never stops to be amazed as to what a feed could do for an ordinary blog.

A properly managed FeedBurner account is like a Regional Distribution Center whereby all products - in this case blogs would be burned and channeled through the preset networking configurations.

A. Google believes that feed-based content and advertising is a developing space where we can add value for users, advertisers and publishers. FeedBurner's technology and talented team are a great addition to Google's current solutions for advertisers and publishers.

Defination of a Feed

If you publish a blog, you publish a feed. A feed is the format that allows your content to be delivered (and subscribed to) on the Web.

Why a Burned Feed with FeedBurner is Better than a Not-Burned Feed?

This is because a burned feed:-

  1. Publicize your content and make it easy for people to subscribe.
  2. Optimize distribution so that your content is properly formatted for all of the major directories and can be consumed by subscribers wherever they are.
  3. Analyze your traffic to learn how many subscribers you have, where they're coming from and what they like best.
  4. Make Moneyitize by participating in the FeedBurner Ad Network. Why not reward yourself for your effort?
