I didn't know Google Street View Team works on invitation, but apparently it's possible to stage parades, sword fights and historical reenactments on the streets and invite them to photograph it for use on Google Street View.
That's exactly what artists Robin Hewlett and Ben Kinsley did on the streets of Pittsburgh with the help of neighbors who joined in for the party. And why not - it definitely brings an interesting twist to Google's Street View concept.

The entire project is called Street with a View, and you can see the scene imagery here and live imagery which has been incorporated into Google Street View here.
